The Portland Ballet Youth CompanyMichael McGonegal - now a member of Houston Ballet

THE PORTLAND BALLET, formerly known as Pacific Artists Ballet Theatre, is Portland's premier non-profit youth ballet company. Founded in 2003 as the performance arm of the academy, the company has performed various classical ballets and other professional works from the Dennis Spaight Trust, Robert Guitron, Rachel Tess and Stephan Laks of Rumpus Room Dance Company, Josie Mosley, and resident choreographer, Alexandrous Ballard, director of Bouand DanceCompany.

TPB has also been granted permission to perform works from The George Balanchine Trust, including Serenade, Valse-Fantasie, Raymonda Variations, and excerpts from Who Cares? The company is open by audition to ballet dancers 14 years of age and older, with several years of ballet training. Girls must be proficient on pointe.
