Open Ballet For Teens & Adults

Open ballet classes are available six days a week, for the beginning to professional dancer. All Open classes at The Portland Ballet are taken as a 'drop in'.

Open Ballet For Adults

Registration

Students must complete a Registration/Liability Waiver Form prior to taking any class at TPB. Professional dancers: to receive the Professional Rate, please complete the Professional Dancer Information Form and return it to the front desk.

Student ID Card

Each student will receive a ID Card that must be presented and scanned at the front desk at the beginning of each class which will keep track of attendance and accounts. If a dancer does not have their ID Card, they will be charged $17 for the class and may not use any multiple class options as listed below. Lost cards can be replaced for $5.

Payment

Classes can be paid either as a drop-in rate of $15/class or the following options are available:
  • $70 for five classes (equal to $14/class)
  • $130 for ten classes (equal to $13/class)
  • $180 for fifteen classes (equal to $12/class)
  • $220 for twenty classes (equal to $11/class)


Barre Only: $11/class

Attendance is tracked by the student's TPB ID Card.  Student/Professional Rate is $12/class.  Class cards are available for $55 for five classes (equals $11/class) or $100 for 10 classes (equals $10/class). Students, please show your College ID to receive the Student Rate. High School students are not eligible to receive the Student rate. Professional dancers will need to fill out a form and get it approved before they receive the Professional Rate.

Checks, cash, VISA, and MasterCard are accepted. A $20 fee will be charged for each returned check.

Class Attire

Casual dance attire is recommended: leotards, t-shirts, tights, jazz pants, ballet shoes, jazz shoes.

Class Observation

Class observation is not allowed without prior consent of the instructor and the Director or Studio Manager.
